The second of Dr. Light and Wily's robots is Shadow Man, a ninja robot master with the ability to slide and throw Shadow Blades (star-shaped blades covered in a deadly liquid). He controls a sewer stage filled with many Mechakkeros, a Picket Man Bull, a New Shotman (a large robot resembling a Met), Parasyus (blue parachuting enemies that surprise Mega Man like Shadow Man does), Yambows (dragonfly robots), Peterchies (walking Octopus Batteries), Holograns (based on the hologram used in Mega Man 2's Alien fight) and Walking Bombs (grenade robots that explode when shot). Also note that this is the first time Mega Man fights Break Man, whose only attack pattern involves jumping and shooting his buster (notice that he whistles before entering a battle. The whistle is a hint to who he really is). There are many traps that will catch Mega Man off guard. The second part of the stage has Holograns that darken the room and Walking Bombs will run and jump on the uneven ground. Keep your distance when shooting these bombs, because they have HUGE explosions (just like with Crash Bombs). The next part involves running and jumping on narrow platforms while dodging Parasyus. A few Yambows guard the door to Shadow Man's lair. Shadow Man is one of the hardest Robot Masters because he is fast and somewhat random. The third game in the Wily Wars collection is Mega Man 3, one of my favorite games in the series. Reasons include the new Rush items (which are an improvement over the generic Mega Man 2 items), the new sliding feature which allows me to complete stages faster (and have an easier time dodging bosses) and the Doc Robot (who copies the weapons of Mega Man 2 robot masters). According to the game's story at MMKB, Dr. Wily claims he had changed since Mega Man 2 and is now working with Dr. Light to create Gamma, a giant "peace-keeping robot". They created eight new robot masters together, but some reason the robots have gone crazy and run away. They are protecting eight elements that both doctors need to complete Gamma, so Mega Man must defeat the robot masters and retrieve the elements. To help Mega Man complete his task, Dr. Light created Rush, Mega Man's robot dog partner, who can transform into a spring board, a jet sled and a submarine. Along the way, Mega Man meets a mysterious red robot called Break Man, whose true identity will be revealed at the end of the game; but for now, I will not spoil it. The first of Dr. Light and Wily's robot masters is Top Man, who uses an auto-balancing system to spin rapidly like a top.
